lately it’s been getting near freezing at night, so we just throw some blankets over the dome to protect the plants inside. works surprisingly well.

MICROGARDEN season 2012 — new beginnings in Asheville, NC. our house is surrounded by trees, which makes for a lot of shade. this season, we’ve decided to experiment with a container gardening setup so that we can move the plants around the yard until we find the sunniest spot.

here, we’re beginning with two containers — one with rainbow chard, the other with dwarf scottish kale and spinach.
